80s Heavy Metal Rocker Shares Exclusive News During World Tour
Renowned heavy metal icon, Doro Pesch, has excited her American fans with a special announcement as she gears up for her upcoming U.S. appearances. The legendary German rocker recently revealed that she will be hosting an exclusive VIP event on March 21 at Dingbatz in Clifton, New Jersey, promising an intimate and personal evening with her devoted followers.
In a heartfelt message to her American fans, Doro expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming event, emphasizing that everyone in attendance will be treated like a VIP. This exclusive gathering is set to coincide with a series of U.S. shows, culminating in her performance at the Hell’s Heroes festival in Texas on March 19. However, the New Jersey event holds a distinct significance for the heavy metal queen.
Unlike a traditional concert, the VIP event at Dingbatz is a tribute to Warlock’s 1986 album, “True As Steel,” which marked Doro’s debut American record release. This album was a pivotal moment in Doro’s career, as it introduced her to U.S. audiences during the heyday of the 1980s heavy metal era. The promotional tour for “True As Steel” kicked off in New York and laid the groundwork for Doro’s illustrious career in the metal genre.
Reflecting on the significance of “True As Steel,” Doro shared her fond memories of that period, stating, “True As Steel is very special to me because it was my first American record and the first time I came to the United States, starting in New York. I fell in love with America immediately, the people, the energy, the metal fans.” This experience served as the inspiration for Warlock’s subsequent album, “Triumph And Agony” (1987), featuring the enduring anthem “All We Are,” which became a global sensation.
The upcoming VIP event at Dingbatz will feature a special full-band acoustic performance showcasing rare renditions of classic Warlock tracks, as well as fan-favorite songs from the late ’80s and newer material. Every ticket holder will receive VIP treatment, including a laminate credential, a signed poster, a signed photo, and an exclusive jacket patch. Limited-edition merchandise will also be available for purchase exclusively at the event.
Following the performance, Doro will engage with attendees in a Q&A session, take photos, and provide autographs. With a career spanning over 10 million albums sold and more than 3,500 concerts in 60 countries, Doro remains a powerhouse in the heavy metal scene, earning her the title of the “Queen of Heavy Metal” for her trailblazing contributions as one of the genre’s leading female figures.
Having recently released “Warriors of the Sea” in October 2025 and premiered the documentary “Doro Pesch – The Queen of Metal” earlier this year, Doro’s return to the U.S. is met with much anticipation from her loyal fans. Tickets for the Dingbatz event are now available for purchase on the venue’s official website, with limited availability ensuring an exclusive and unforgettable experience for attendees.
