The production team behind the TV anime adaptation of the manga “Gals Can’t Be Kind to Otaku!?” recently released a new promotional video and key visual, unveiling more cast members and sharing details about the upcoming premiere date and theme songs. The anime is set to debut on April 8th and will feature Jun Kasama as Genichirō Ijichi, Konomi Kohara as Sayu Amamiya, Atsumi Tanezaki as Kakeru Ijichi, and Emiri Katō as Hibiki Ijichi.

The opening theme song “HIDE AND SEEK” will be performed by the South Korean group i-dle, while the ending theme song “Ishō Nakako” will be performed by the rock band sun soo girl from Osaka. Fans can catch the anime on the “IMAnimation W” block on TV Asahi and its affiliate channels in Japan, with additional airing on BS Asahi. Crunchyroll also announced that they will be streaming the anime in various regions around the world.

Yen Press has licensed the manga and released the first volume on October 28th, providing a glimpse into the story of Takuya Seo, an otaku who finds common ground with the popular gals in his class, despite their seemingly different backgrounds. The manga explores themes of geek culture and friendship, blending comedy and slice-of-life elements to create an engaging storyline.
