Alex Miller is staying true to his country roots while also pushing the boundaries of what country music means to him. In his upcoming album, “More Country Than You,” set to be released on April 10, Miller showcases his honest, hardworking, and emotionally raw style across 10 songs.

The album kicks off with Miller’s take on Daryle Singletary’s 1995 hit, “Too Much Fun,” breathing new life into this classic track. Collaborating with rising star Emily Ann Roberts on the title song, “More Country Than You,” the duo engages in a friendly competition to see who can embody the essence of country music the most. Tracks like “As Far As His Mem’ry Lets Her Go” delve into the depths of heartache, while “Just A Mom” pays tribute to the strong women who shape our lives.

One highlight of the album is the energetic collaboration on “The Byrd” featuring the legendary Tracy Byrd, harkening back to the classic duets of country music’s past. “Money Well Wasted” brings a humorous take on retail therapy, while “Secondhand Smoke” explores the pain of impending heartbreak. “Memories And Gin” captures Miller’s love for twang with its rich instrumental arrangement, leading into the closing track, “The Ones That Take Me Home,” a heartfelt ode to the comfort of country music.

“More Country Than You” was produced by industry veteran Jerry Salley and recorded in Ashland City, TN, featuring top Nashville musicians to bring Miller’s vision to life. As Miller gears up for the album’s release, he is set to embark on a tour in support of the new music, with dates lined up across the country.

Fans can catch an in-depth interview with Miller on Dillon Weldon’s Drifting Cowboy Podcast, where he discusses the inspiration behind the album and more. With a deep connection to his roots and a willingness to explore new musical territories, Alex Miller’s “More Country Than You” promises to be a compelling addition to the country music landscape.
