’90s Rock Band Embarks on First World Tour in Over Three Decades
Sugar, the iconic alternative rock trio from the ’90s, has officially announced their plans for a global tour, marking their first extensive tour in 30 years. The band, consisting of frontman Bob Mould, bassist David Barbe, and drummer Malcolm Travis, gained prominence in the early ’90s with albums like Copper Blue and File Under: Easy Listening. Following their breakup in 1995, each member pursued their individual musical endeavors, with Mould embarking on a successful solo career while Barbe and Travis focused on different projects.
The decision to reunite and embark on the Love You Even Still 2026 World Tour came after Sugar released their first new music in over three decades with the track House of Dead Memories. The overwhelming response to initial live shows in New York City and London scheduled for May 2026 prompted the band to expand their plans and include a full-fledged international tour.
Accompanying the tour announcement is a new single titled Long Live Love, giving fans a taste of Sugar’s renewed musical synergy. The European leg of the tour is set to kick off in late May, with performances in major cities across Europe including Belfast, Dublin, Manchester, Glasgow, Berlin, Paris, and Stockholm. Additionally, the band is slated to headline festivals such as Spain’s Azkena Rock Festival, ensuring a widespread reach among their dedicated fan base.
After their European stint, Sugar will return to North America for a series of performances starting in August. Cities like Denver, Seattle, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Boston, and Atlanta are on the tour itinerary, offering long-time fans in various regions the chance to experience the band’s electrifying live performances.
Tickets for the Love You Even Still 2026 World Tour went on sale at the end of January, with artist presales initiating earlier in the month. The band’s decision to reignite their musical journey and reconnect with fans through a global tour symbolizes a significant milestone in their career and showcases their enduring passion for music and performing live. With a blend of nostalgia and fresh energy, Sugar’s comeback tour promises to be a memorable experience for both loyal fans and new audiences alike.
