Howard Jones to Tour with Rod Stewart and Unveil New Live Album
Howard Jones, the iconic figure of the new wave movement, is set to embark on a string of tour dates across the United States. This tour will see Jones as the main support act for Rod Stewart on multiple occasions, with additional headlining shows interspersed throughout the schedule.
Last year, Jones graced more than 60 stages across the US and Europe as part of a celebratory tour marking the 40th anniversary of his widely acclaimed album, “Dream Into Action.” Continuing his momentum, Jones has released a new live album titled “Live At The Marquee” in partnership with Cherry Red Records. This previously unreleased concert was captured at The Marquee Club in London back in 1983 and was only recently unearthed during a transfer of master tapes for the “Human’s Lib” re-issues in 2018. Jones himself remixed the audio, and the album includes a selection of rare and previously unseen photos. “Live At The Marquee” is available for purchase in CD format as well as a double transparent yellow vinyl edition, complete with an exclusive postcard while supplies last.
Throughout his illustrious career, Howard Jones has shaped the landscape of electronic music, captivating audiences around the globe through an array of live performances in various setups, ranging from intimate solo shows to full-band productions. This album secured a spot among the top ten platinum albums in the US, and included chart-topping singles such as “Things Can Only Get Better,” “Life In One Day,” “No One Is To Blame,” and “Like To Get To Know You Well.”
