Shinedown to Embark on 2026 Tour with Special Guests, Reveal New Album ‘Eight’
Shinedown is back on the map with some exciting announcements for 2026. After some drama surrounding their appearance at the Rock The Country Festival, which they ultimately pulled out from, the band is now focusing on their upcoming world tour. The tour is set to kick off in May and will take them across North America, Europe, and the UK. They have secured some major special guests to join them on select dates, including Coheed and Cambria, Black Stone Cherry, From Ashes to New, and Those Damn Crows.
In a statement shared on social media, Shinedown emphasized their desire to unite fans through music and expressed their decision not to participate in events that may divide their audience. This led to their withdrawal from the Rock The Country Festival, where fellow band Creed also made a silent exit shortly after. As a response to the void left by their festival cancellation, Shinedown is offering their fans another opportunity to catch them live with their world tour.
Aside from the tour, Shinedown is set to host their festival called Lunatic Ball in October. The beach event will feature two headlining performances by the band, along with other acts like Bush, Flyleaf with Lacey Sturm, and Living Colour. This follows their headline slot at Sonic Temple 2026, where they will take the stage alongside Tool, My Chemical Romance, and Bring Me The Horizon. Frontman Brent Smith expressed his excitement for headlining Sonic Temple, highlighting the band’s dedication to giving fans an unforgettable performance.
Fans can also anticipate the release of Shinedown’s new album, ‘EI8HT,’ scheduled to drop on May 29. The album will feature 18 new songs, with singles like “Searchlight,” “Dance, Kid, Dance,” “Three Six Five,” and “Killing Fields” already creating buzz among listeners. The band performed “Searchlight” for the first time during their Opry debut, a song that resonated well with the audience and became a highlight of the night.
