The rock legend’s tour announcement follows the release of his latest protest song, “Streets of Minneapolis,” which criticizes Trump’s approach to illegal immigration. The song is a response to the administration’s deployment of federal agents to address immigration issues, particularly in Minnesota. While Trump’s immigration policies were central to his re-election campaign, the death of two U.S. citizens at the hands of federal agents in Minneapolis resulted in a winding down of operations in the state.

Springsteen, a vocal Trump critic, publicly supported Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 election and performed at her campaign rallies.
