Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar collaborate on a new song
Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar have once again reunited to deliver a fresh track titled “Good Flirts” as part of Keem’s newly launched album titled Ca$ino. The track is a well-crafted blend of playful and flirtatious lyrics that address a former partner Baby Keem seems unable to shake off. Set against a smooth downtempo beat, the track features a guest verse from Kendrick Lamar that paints a relaxed picture, lounging on the couch watching Sinners, appreciating his companion, and even contemplating whether God could possibly be a woman. The song also showcases additional vocals from Momo Boyd of Infinity Song, a New York-based soft rock group.
This recent collaboration between Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar adds to a growing list of successful joint releases from the duo. Some of their previous tracks include “The Hillbillies,” “Vent,” “Range Brothers,” and the award-winning “Family Ties.” Apart from their musical projects, Lamar has been involved in producing a series of documentary shorts that accompanied the release of Ca$ino. He has also engaged in interviews where he shared insights on witnessing Baby Keem’s growth and artistic development over the years.
Reflecting on their collaboration, Lamar expressed his initial surprise at Baby Keem’s multifaceted artistry. He commended Baby Keem’s production skills and melodic sensibilities while acknowledging that he was taken aback by Keem’s rapping abilities, appreciating his understanding of melodies and patterns like no other young artist he had come across. Lamar’s praise for Baby Keem’s musical prowess underscores the respect and admiration he holds for his younger counterpart.
Ca$ino marks Baby Keem’s second studio album, following the success of his 2021 release, The Melodic Blue. The album boasts a diverse tracklist featuring collaborations with artists like Too $hort and Che Ecru. To promote the album, Baby Keem is gearing up for an extensive tour that spans across the US, Canada, Europe, and the UK. Scheduled between April and September, the tour promises to bring Baby Keem’s music to audiences worldwide, solidifying his position as a rising star in the music industry.
