Hurray For The Riff Raff to release new live album titled “Live Forever”
Hurray For The Riff Raff is set to launch a new live album titled “Live Forever,” digitally available on March 20 and physically on May 8 through Nonesuch. Captured over two packed performances at Chicago’s Old Town School of Folk Music, the live record features the full tracklist of the band’s acclaimed 2024 release, “The Past Is Still Alive,” alongside standout songs from their discography.
Offering a glimpse of what’s to come, a video of the band performing “Rhododendron” from their 2022 album, “LIFE ON EARTH,” at the Old Town School of Folk Music has been released, with the recording now available for streaming. Fans can pre-order “Live Forever” in advance.
Frontwoman Alynda Segarra shared her sentiments about the project, expressing gratitude for the growth and experiences the band has encountered since relocating to Chicago in 2024. The current band lineup consists of Parker Grogan on electric guitar and vocals, Nnamdi Ogbonnaya on bass and backing vocals, Marcus Drake on drums, and Sen Morimoto on saxophone and keyboards. The live show and record were helmed by longtime collaborator Johnny Wilson.
Segarra emphasized the importance of immortalizing the current moment and the talented musicians by documenting it in the upcoming release.
