Metal fans come together: Louder Than Life 2026 lineup announced

Louder Than Life, one of the biggest rock and metal festivals, is making a triumphant return in 2026 with an incredible lineup that is sure to delight rock enthusiasts. Over 200 acts spanning various genres are set to take the stage from September 17-20 at the Kentucky Exposition Center’s Highland Festival Grounds in Louisville. This year’s festival promises to be the largest in its history, featuring a star-studded bill organized by producer Danny Wimmer Presents.

Among the headliners are iconic bands like Iron Maiden, My Chemical Romance, Limp Bizkit, and TOOL, each scheduled for different days of the festival. Additional acts include Pantera, Megadeth, Pierce The Veil, Papa Roach, Gojira, Sublime, Rise Against, Tom Morello, Alice Cooper, The Prodigy, and Halestorm. With nearly 200 artists performing over four days on seven stages, the lineup is varied and extensive, offering an unforgettable experience for attendees.

The festival promises more than just music, with attendees receiving free access to amusement rides located within the Kentucky Kingdom, which will be exclusive to festival-goers. Danny Wimmer expressed excitement about last year’s success at the Kentucky Kingdom, hinting at breaking more records this year. He invites attendees to immerse themselves in the festival’s offerings, from thrilling rides to legendary and emerging bands, enticing food options, and, of course, the renowned bourbon. Louder Than Life aims to provide a complete rock experience that fans have been waiting for eagerly.

David S. Beck, the president and CEO of Kentucky Venues, commended Louder Than Life for continuously pushing the boundaries of what a rock festival can achieve. By bringing the festival grounds to the heart of the Kentucky Exposition Center last year, the event showcased the potential when a top-tier venue collaborates with an innovative festival producer to prioritize the ultimate fan experience.

Tickets for the festival are currently on sale starting at only $1 down online. Four-day weekend passes begin at $468, while single-day passes start at $158. VIP options are also available from $270 onwards. Additionally, there is a student pass priced at $125 daily for students with a valid .edu email address. For enthusiasts seeking the ultimate music experience, a four-day Exacta Pass is being offered starting at $700, which includes access to both Louder Than Life and Bourbon & Beyond (scheduled for Sept. 24-27).

Given the festival’s massive draw, fans from across the US and around the world are anticipated to attend. Therefore, early ticket purchases are encouraged to secure a spot at this highly-anticipated event. Louder Than Life and Bourbon & Beyond attracted a record-breaking 450,000 fans in 2025, generating over $43 million in revenue.
