Magenta releases title track from upcoming album “Tarot”

Magenta has revealed the title track “Tarot” from their highly anticipated tenth studio album, set for release on April 10 by Tigermoth Records. The band, consisting of Christina Booth, Robert Reed, and Chris Fry, will be performing two live shows in the south of England. Fans can catch them at London’s Camden Club on April 25 and Southampton’s The 1865 on April 26.

Lead vocalist Rob Reed shared insights about the creation of the title track, mentioning that it was written towards the end of the album-making process once the group had settled on the concept. Described as the closing track, “Tarot” aims to provide a moment of respite after a series of intense and dense tracks on the album. Reed highlighted the standout vocal performance by Christina and a captivating guitar solo that concludes the album, leaving listeners wanting more. The track features guest vocalists Steve Balsamo and Peter Jones, adding an extra layer of vocal depth and complexity to the song.

Additionally, Magenta is planning two intimate shows at the end of April to coincide with the album release. The performances will include a mix of tracks from their extensive back catalog along with new songs from “Tarot.” The evening promises a blend of acoustic and electric arrangements, with a special acoustic set by Chris Fry, who will also be joined by his brother Dan Fry, the bass player for Magenta.
