The reformed Sex Pistols are set to hit the road in 2026, with original members Steve Jones, Glen Matlock, and Paul Cook, along with singer Frank Carter. After a series of shows in Europe, the band has announced tour dates in the United Kingdom, as well as other European countries including Italy, Germany, Finland, Bulgaria, and France.

The band’s upcoming tour begins in June with the Isle of Wight Festival in the United Kingdom, followed by dates in Italy, Germany, Finland, Bulgaria, and France throughout the summer. In August, they will return to the UK for shows in Cardiff, Scarborough, Dublin, and London. The tour will conclude with two shows in London’s Eventim Apollo in December.

The original vocalist, John Lydon, has had a strained relationship with his former bandmates. Lydon sued guitarist Steve Jones over the 2022 TV series “Pistol,” which portrayed the band’s story from Jones’ perspective. Despite trying to prevent the use of the band’s songs in the show, Lydon lost the legal battle, and the series proceeded with the original tracks.

Formed in London in 1975, the Sex Pistols are considered one of the most influential punk rock bands of all time. Their debut album, “Never Mind the Bollocks: Here’s The Sex Pistols” released in 1977, remains a classic in the genre. Although the band was active for only a few years, reuniting sporadically over the decades, their impact on music is undeniable.

The Sex Pistols not only inspired a generation of punk rock musicians but also crossed over into other genres. Bands like Guns N’ Roses have cited the Sex Pistols as a major influence on their music. Despite their tumultuous history and internal conflicts, the Sex Pistols remain a legendary group in the annals of rock and roll history.

As the band prepares to embark on their 2026 tour, fans can anticipate witnessing a powerful and electrifying performance from one of punk rock’s most iconic bands. With a blend of classic hits and new material, the Sex Pistols are sure to captivate audiences and continue their legacy as pioneers of the punk rock movement.
