Frozen Soul reveals new album “No Place Of Warmth” with title track featuring Gerard Way
Frozen Soul is set to release their upcoming album, titled No Place Of Warmth, which serves as a sequel to their previous album Glacial Domination from 2023. The band, originating from Dallas and known for their death metal sound, will debut the title track from the upcoming album featuring Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance.
Chad Green, the band’s vocalist, describes the song “No Place Of Warmth” as a reflection on life during its harshest moments. It delves into the decision one faces when confronted with life’s coldness, whether to succumb to it or to find the warmth amidst a seemingly desolate world. Green shares that they had the privilege of befriending Gerard Way a couple of years ago and were excited to collaborate with him on this track. Acknowledging Way’s passion for metal, Green pitched the idea of a collaboration, to which Way enthusiastically agreed. Green praises Way as an exceptional artist and musician whose impact continues to influence upcoming generations.
The music video for “No Place Of Warmth,” directed by Brendan McGowen, follows a protagonist attempting to defy death by not letting go of their rosary-adorned dagger, symbolizing resilience in the face of mortality and embracing the joy of life’s experiences and memories.
No Place Of Warmth has been produced by Josh Schroeder and features collaborative efforts from Machine Head and Sanguisugabogg. The album includes the previously released track “Absolute Zero,” setting the tone for what listeners can expect from the upcoming release.
