New Easter video celebrates Jesus Christ’s love for you
The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shared a poignant Easter message in 2026, calling on individuals to seek Jesus Christ during the Easter season. The message emphasized the strengthening of faith and testimony through contemplating the triumph over death that Christ’s resurrection signifies.
To complement the reflections on Jesus Christ’s mission, Atonement, and Resurrection, a new Easter video titled “Jesus Christ’s Greater Love for You” has been released by the Church. The video opens with a powerful quote from John 15:13, emphasizing the ultimate act of love—laying down one’s life for others. It follows with visuals depicting Christ’s entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, reflecting on the profound burden he bore and the love that sustained him during his trials in Gethsemane and on the cross.
As the video progresses to scenes of Christ’s death and Mary Magdalene’s discovery of the empty tomb, viewers are reminded of the purpose behind Christ’s sacrifice. The narrator highlights the profound love of a Heavenly Father who sent His Son because of His love for each individual. The ultimate message conveys that Christ’s suffering and Resurrection brought hope for eternal life and a promise that no one is forgotten, offering the fullness of joy to all who believe.
Klane Harding, the creative director behind the project, expressed his intention for the video to convey Christ’s enduring love, not just for historical figures, but for each individual watching. He hopes the video’s portrayal of the Savior prompts viewers to pause and reflect on the personal significance of Christ’s Atonement and sacrifice, ultimately leading to a deeper understanding of His love for each person.
The filming of the video took place at the Church’s Motion Picture Studio South Campus in Goshen, Utah, in August 2025. The actors involved in bringing the scenes to life shared their reflections on portraying Christ’s final week. Carlos Alvarez, who participated as an extra, emphasized how embodying these significant moments deepened his appreciation for the Savior’s love and inspired him to strive towards being more like Jesus Christ in his daily life.
