rryl Way has recently released his latest album, Violin Fantasia, a collection of three original pieces for solo violin, symphony orchestra, and chorus. Way, who first gained fame as part of the British progressive rock band Curved Air, draws inspiration from classical composers like Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Brahms, and Sibelius in this new orchestral endeavor.
In a recent interview with Goldmine, Way shared that the album was dedicated to his grandson Leo and represented a culmination of his 55 years of experience as a violinist and composer. He describes the piece as “Neo-Romantic,” a nod to the grandeur of orchestral music and the legendary works of great classical composers.
