Keanu Reeves’ band Dogstar reveals new album titled ‘All In Now’
Keanu Reeves is back! Well, not exactly in the dramatic manner of his iconic movie scenes, but in the sense of reuniting with his ’90s alt-rock band, Dogstar. Reeves, along with bandmates Bret Domrose and Robert Mailhouse, recently released their first album in 23 years called “Somewhere Between The Power Lines And Palm Trees.” Taking a break from his blockbuster films in the ’90s, Reeves toured as Dogstar’s bassist and is now fully committed to reliving the band’s music once again.
The rejuvenated Dogstar, after their reunion, is preparing to release their fourth album titled “All In Now” and have exciting tour plans lined up in Europe and North America. The band worked with indie rock producer Nick Launay on the album and is set to drop it on their Dillon Street label. Reflecting on the recording process, Reeves exclaims, “We couldn’t wait. Personally, I loved it all. For me, the attitude was like, ‘let’s work hard and let’s GO.'” Reeves’ enthusiasm is akin to his iconic character Ted “Theodore” Logan, adding an infectious energy to the band’s new project.
The title track of the album, “All In Now,” showcases a powerful crunch-rock sound reminiscent of bands like Queens Of The Stone Age, with Reeves displaying his bass skills that captivate listeners. Fans can also enjoy the music video for “All In Now,” directed by Carlos Garcia Medina, giving a visual treat that complements the tracklist of the upcoming album and tour dates.
The album features tracks such as “Math,” “This Sphere,” “Exalted,” and more, promising a diverse and engaging musical journey for listeners. Dogstar’s tour dates span various cities across Europe and North America, including performances in iconic venues such as Olympia Theatre in Dublin, Roundhouse in London, and Download Festival in Donington Park. The band’s tour will culminate in a string of performances across Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and other exciting locations.
“All In Now” is slated for release on May 29th, and fans can expect a blend of raw energy and melodic prowess from Dogstar’s music. In a surprising turn, Reeves is also rumored to portray the villain in the upcoming Weezer movie, adding another exciting dimension to his artistic ventures.
