Disney World’s New Attractions Set to Open in 2026: Timeline for Openings
ctions, it tends to be before major holidays for maximum guest enjoyment.
Disney doesn’t have a conventional “spring break” timeframe, but the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival traditionally runs from early March to late May. With Soarin’ Across America opening by Memorial Day, this gives Disney the opportunity to have another major attraction debut for a different park during the popular festival’s duration.
While we have no specific details on what differences will make Soarin’ Across America distinct from the current Soarin’ Around the World, it’s safe to say that an exclusively American-focused flight experience will be better timed after COVID restrictions, making international travel still a bit unpredictable, to ensure that guests have multiple flight experiences available.
Soarin’ Across America opening prediction – May 17, 2026
2026 Disney World Rides With Unclear Opening Dates
As mentioned, Disney has not announced specific opening dates for these attractions: “Bluey’s Incredible Adventure,” “Muppet Race Mania,” “AnIMAXtion Theater,” and the “Mickey’s Magical Trolley.”
Believe it or not, these attractions were conceptualized several years ago but were delayed until the 2026 season for a variety of reasons. While none of these experiences have a launch timeframe as of the publication date, we have our predictions below.
Bluey’s Incredible Adventure Opening Prediction – June 8, 2026
Muppet Race Mania Opening Prediction – July 27, 2026
AnIMAXtion Theater Opening Prediction – August 14, 2026
Mickey’s Magical Trolley Opening Prediction – September 20, 2026
As these attractions have all been in semi-permanent limbo for years now, it’s hard to predict exactly when they would debut. If Disney opt for a gradual roll-out of openings for these attractions as they see guest demand remain variable entering 2026, this could adjust the timeline significantly.
2026 at Disney World: An Unpredictable Year Ahead
The timetable for the rest of Walt Disney World’s updates and attractions in 2026 can be a bit hazy. We believe Disney will only announce opening dates when they are chiseled in stone.
It’s important to keep in mind that Disney has other major projects in the works alongside these 2026 debuts. “Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is already booking reservations this year, for voyages to a galaxy far, far away beginning in late March.
Additionally, the reimagined theme park hub areas at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort updates, and EPCOT’s “EPCOT Forever” nighttime spectacular premiering in late 2025 are all recent or upcoming releases that add to the complexity of navigating Disney World during 2026.
Disney World just announced a $1 million renovation of Cinderella Castle, which will be unveiled at the end of 2026.
The implication of all of this is that while these 2026 attractions may be the crown jewels of the year, they are far from the only things to be excited about and plan around when visiting Walt Disney World this year. Remember, “EPCOT Forever” is still scheduled to run until “Harmonious” opens as part of the EPCOT 50th anniversary later this year. So while new rides are important, they are only a part of the larger tapestry of your vacation planning.
