Last September saw the return of Francis Of Delirium from Luxembourg, releasing the single “Little Black Dress.” This track will be part of their upcoming album, Run, Run Pure Beauty, which they are officially announcing today alongside another single titled “It’s A Beautiful Life.”
Lead singer and songwriter of Francis Of Delirium, Jana Bahrich, started composing the initial ideas for Run, Run Pure Beauty during a summer stay in New York in 2024, amidst intense heat. Upon returning to their home base in Luxembourg, Bahrich collaborated with co-producer Chris Hewett to further develop and refine the tracks. The influence of the oppressive heatwave in New York can be felt in “It’s A Beautiful Life,” with Bahrich’s emotive lyrics reflecting a sense of anxiety and isolation caused by the scorching weather: “So damn close/ To pushing daisies/ Man I think this heat makes me/ All alone.” These raw and introspective feelings are underscored by a gritty college-rock sound, capturing the intensity of the emotions conveyed in the song.
