Analysts who have examined the video footage suggest that the weapon used in the attack bears similarities to a U.S. Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM). Sam Lair, a research associate at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS), noted that the munition’s physical characteristics align with those of a TLAM, particularly its cruciform shape with wings positioned centrally and a tailkit at the back. He also indicated that the video was captured around 250 meters from the expected point of impact, indicating a sizable munition that eliminates other possible U.S. ordnance choices like the GBU-69B.
