Perfect Circle to Tour Australia and New Zealand with Puscifer
American alternative rock band, A Perfect Circle, is set to make a triumphant return to Australia and New Zealand in December 2026 after a long hiatus. Led by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan, the band is gearing up for a series of arena and outdoor shows across Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and Auckland, with special guests Puscifer joining them on the tour.
This announcement comes on the heels of A Perfect Circle’s recent European tour, its first headline tour on the continent since 2018, which has generated renewed interest in the band globally. For Australian fans, the December tour will serve as a highly anticipated comeback of one of the standout acts from the late 1990s and early 2000s alternative rock scene.
Kicking off the Australasian leg at The Drive in Adelaide on December 4, the band will then make stops at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on December 6, Brisbane’s Riverstage on December 8, Sydney’s TikTok Entertainment Centre on December 11, and finally wrap up the tour in Auckland at Spark Arena on December 13.
A Perfect Circle’s inception stemmed from a musical collaboration between Howerdel and Keenan, with the former’s guitar work paired with the latter’s distinctive vocals. Their debut album, “Mer De Noms,” released in 2000, solidified their position as a major player in modern rock music, with hits like “Judith,” “3 Libras,” and “The Hollow” showcasing their unique blend of melody and heavy instrumentation.
Subsequent albums, “Thirteenth Step” (2003) and “Emotive” (2004), continued to push boundaries, delving into darker themes and experimental sounds, while their 2018 release, “Eat The Elephant,” reaffirmed their relevance in the music scene nearly two decades later.
Despite lineup changes over the years, the core creative partnership between Howerdel and Keenan has remained the driving force behind A Perfect Circle’s evolution. Keenan’s side project, Puscifer, known for its electronic rock sound and theatrical performances, will be accompanying A Perfect Circle on the December tour, adding an extra layer of excitement for fans.
With Puscifer’s latest album, “Normal Isn’t,” released earlier this year, fans can look forward to a diverse and engaging live show that merges music, visuals, and storytelling. Both A Perfect Circle and Puscifer have garnered dedicated followings worldwide, performing at major music festivals and selling out iconic venues, cementing their status as influential figures in the alternative rock genre.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale on March 20, giving fans the opportunity to witness two powerhouse bands sharing the stage once again after a decade-long hiatus. This highly-anticipated tour promises to be a memorable experience for fans of alternative rock music, offering a chance to witness the magic of A Perfect Circle and Puscifer live in concert.
