Sebastian Bach to Front Twisted Sister for 2026 Tour
Sebastian Bach has been tapped to front Twisted Sister for their upcoming fall shows after original frontman Dee Snider had to step away due to various health issues. Snider, who is dealing with arthritis, a hip replacement, a knee injury, and a heart condition, made the tough decision to take a break from performing with the band. In a statement, he expressed his desire to not be a mere shadow of his former self and opted to prioritize his health instead.
Bach received the exciting call from the band’s manager, Danny Stanton, in early January, informing him of the opportunity to step in as the lead vocalist for Twisted Sister. Before the news was made public, Snider personally gave his blessing to Bach, recognizing him and his son Jesse as the only individuals capable of filling his shoes. The two musicians had a heartfelt conversation over the phone, with both getting emotional during the discussion.
A long-time fan of Twisted Sister since his youth, Bach’s admiration for the band dates back to his high school days when he took the initiative to paint the band’s logo on the back of his jacket using liquid paper. He expressed his deep love for the band, describing himself as possibly their biggest fan. Bach emphasized his commitment to bringing a high level of energy to the performances, reminiscent of the band’s early days when they would take the stage with the intensity of a punk rock or thrash metal group.
For the upcoming shows, Twisted Sister will feature guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda, the two original members confirmed to be part of the lineup, alongside bassist Russell Pzütto. The band’s first performance with Bach as the frontman is scheduled for September 4 at the Alaska State Fair, with additional shows set to be announced on their official website in the near future.
The collaborative effort between Bach and the classic members of Twisted Sister promises to deliver an electrifying experience for fans, with the former Skid Row vocalist injecting his own brand of passion and enthusiasm into the band’s iconic sound. As the anticipation builds for the upcoming performances, supporters of Twisted Sister can look forward to a revitalized live experience that pays homage to the band’s roots while showcasing a fresh energy that Bach brings to the table.
