Former Kiss guitarist Vinnie Vincent has recently unleashed his latest musical project, an album titled “Guitarmaggedon,” which he boldly claims to be “one of the greatest rock albums of all time.” Vincent’s confidence in his work is so high that he has attached an eye-watering price tag of $2 million to the album, making it accessible only to a single affluent rock enthusiast willing to pay the hefty fee.

The album, Guitarmaggedon, features a collection of 10 tracks and comes with a price of $2 million, breaking down to $200,000 per song. Vincent’s unconventional marketing strategy involves a single buyer shelling out the sizeable sum in exchange for the freedom to decide whether to release the album to the public or keep it all to themselves.

The elaborate package includes various artworks accompanying each song, ensuring that the buyer gets their money’s worth. Vincent’s offer extends to providing all the songs mixed in the master format, along with master artwork files, posters, and personalized vinyl and CD packaging for each track, offering a comprehensive visual experience for the buyer.

In a statement to Guitar World, Vincent expressed his pride in the album, emphasizing that the buyer would have the liberty to release the album in any desired format, be it vinyl, CD, or any other configuration. However, he clarifies that the $2 million price tag does not include any rights to the album’s copyrights or trademarks associated with Vinnie Vincent or the product itself. Any interest in acquiring such rights would necessitate a separate negotiation.

For those willing to splurge on such a lavish purchase, Vincent further extends the offer of a perpetual license to use the brand names “Vinnie Vincent Invasion” and “Vinnie Vincent” in connection with the album. While the price may seem staggering to some, history has shown that there exists a market for high-priced musical memorabilia, as evidenced by the sale of David Gilmour’s iconic black Fender Stratocaster for a staggering $14.5 million at a recent auction.

Vincent’s unique approach to releasing his album may raise eyebrows, but it underscores the value he places on his creative work. His confidence and belief in the album’s quality are evident in the extravagant price tag attached to it, catering to a niche audience of affluent music aficionados who are willing to invest in exclusive musical experiences.

In a music industry where streaming services have made access to music easier than ever, Vincent’s decision to offer his album at such a premium price is a bold and unconventional move that challenges traditional distribution models. It remains to be seen whether the album “Guitarmaggedon” will find its way to the ears of the public or remain a privately held treasure for a single discerning buyer.
