Vinnie Vincent sets $2M price for latest album Guitarmageddon

Former Kiss guitarist Vinnie Vincent recently debuted his latest album, Guitarmageddon, and is pricing it at a staggering $2,000,000. Vincent’s tenure with Kiss spanned from 1982 to 1984, during which he contributed to two Kiss albums, “Creatures of the Night” and “Lick It Up,” and earned songwriting credits on “Revenge.” Drawing from his experience with Kiss and adopting a business approach reminiscent of Gene Simmons, Vincent is embarking on this new chapter in his music career.

In a bold move, Vincent attracted attention earlier this year by releasing CDs of Guitarmageddon’s lead single, “Ride the Serpent,” at prices reaching up to $300 each. He even went as far as to indicate that he would shelve the entire album if fans did not support the single adequately. Vincent compared the single, with its nearly eight-minute duration and intense guitar prowess, to high-end items like caviar and fine art. Guitar World estimated the single to be valued at around $40 per minute of electrifying guitar performance.

Now, the announcement of Guitarmageddon’s full 10-track album being offered at $2 million positions “Ride the Serpent” as a relative bargain, as it equates to a value of $200,000 per track. While this pricing may seem exorbitant to some, Vincent assures potential buyers that the album is a special project that he takes immense pride in. The entire album will be provided in master format for the $2 million price tag, including all 10 songs mixed in their final form, the master files of the artwork, posters related to the album, and distinct packaging art for both vinyl and CD versions of each track.

Vincent is giving the buyer complete liberty to release the album in any format they desire, whether it be on vinyl, CD, or any other configuration, either in its entirety or song by song, based on their discretion. However, it is essential to note that the buyer will not acquire any rights, titles, or interests in the copyrights or trademarks associated with Vinnie Vincent or the album itself.

While Vincent’s pricing strategy for Guitarmageddon may raise eyebrows, it is undoubtedly a unique approach to releasing music in today’s industry landscape. As the music world continues to evolve, Vincent’s bold move serves as a testament to his confidence in the album’s quality and his desire to create a distinctive and exclusive experience for those willing to invest in his musical vision.
