Soulfly’s Personal and Stage Equipment Stolen During Tour
Being part of a touring band comes with several experiences – some pleasurable, some not so much. One of the unfortunate scenarios that all bands dread is being robbed on the road, and that is exactly what happened to Soulfly as they were gearing up for their tour with Gwar.
The band took to Instagram to share the news of thieves breaking into their U-Haul truck that carried their equipment as they were en route to the first Gwar tour stop in Richmond, Virginia. The post read, “Red alert! Someone broke into our U-Haul truck last night in Albuquerque as it was on the way to the Gwar tour. They took all of the Soulfly backdrops and one of our crew’s personal bags. Please, if you see anyone or hear of anything suspicious, reach out.”
Being victims of theft can throw a wrench into a band’s tour plans, but Soulfly is determined to not let this incident dampen their spirits. The hope is that the stolen goods don’t cause too much disruption, and they can continue with their scheduled tour. Fans can keep an eye out for these metal heavyweights as they share the stage with Gwar and King Parrot at various dates and venues across the country:
