Zero subjects anime’s new video reveals additional cast members

The upcoming television anime adaptation of Fuurou’s light novel series, “The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects,” released its first promotional video, key visual, additional cast members, and announced a premiere date of July. The newly revealed cast includes Taito Ban as Klaus, Miku Itō as Senai, Haruka Shiraishi as Aihan, and Jun Fukuyama as Eldan, joining previously announced leads Kenichirō Matsuda as Dias and Shion Wakayama as Alna.

Directed by Kenichi Imaizumi and produced by animation studio 42, the series will also feature scripts overseen by Kunihiko Okada and character designs by Keiichi Tsuboyama. The story, described as a “slow-life fantasy,” follows Dias, a war hero who returns home to an empty domain. With no population or resources, Dias must navigate how to thrive and cultivate his territory. However, with the help of a horned girl named Alna, Dias discovers that there is more to his barren land than meets the eye.

The original novel series first appeared on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō service in 2018, with illustrations by Kinta and a manga adaptation by Yumbo. The success of the franchise is evident, with over two million copies in circulation across 14 volumes. J-Novel Club publishes the English versions of both the novel series and its manga adaptation.

Fans eagerly anticipate the premiere of “The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects” in July, following the journey of Dias and Alna as they seek to transform an empty domain into a thriving dominion. With a talented cast, experienced director, and captivating story, this anime is sure to be a must-watch for fans of fantasy and adventure series.
