Hillbilly Vegas drops latest single and music video “I Hope You Know”
Southern rock band Hillbilly Vegas has recently dropped their latest single and music video titled “I Hope You Know”. This new track serves as a preview of their upcoming album “A La Mode” set to be released in May through Quarto Valley Records. The song delves into the complexities of a relationship that has reached a breaking point. Fueled by a blend of southern-style guitars and bluesy undertones, the band showcases their signature gritty sound in “I Hope You Know”.
Lead singer Steve Harris sheds light on the inspiration behind the track, stating that it draws from a personal encounter in his own life that many can relate to. Whether it’s a romantic entanglement, a friendship, family dynamic, or a professional partnership, the theme of struggling to navigate a faltering connection is universally resonant. Harris recounts a particular instance in his life where a professional relationship and lifelong friendship deteriorated due to substance abuse. The realization that you cannot single-handedly fix someone else’s problems and the subsequent act of letting go are at the heart of “I Hope You Know”.
Accompanying the release of the single is a visually captivating music video directed by GR1M and filmed in Oklahoma. The band took a nostalgic approach with the video, paying homage to the rock and roll era of the ’70s. Despite facing challenges such as filming during a severe snowstorm, the band kept the production simple and fun, capturing the essence of the golden age of rock n’ roll.
Hillbilly Vegas has carved out a niche for themselves in the music industry with their distinct sound. Their debut album “Ringo Manor” gained traction in 2011, selling over 10,000 copies and featuring the hit single “Little Miss Rough and Tumble”. The band has seen success on Billboard’s Rock charts with multiple songs including “Let It Ride”, “Feels Good”, “High Time For A Good Time”, “Hell To Pay”, “Two Gun Town”, and “Shake It Like A Hillbilly”.
Known for their electrifying live performances, Hillbilly Vegas brings a high-energy, party-like atmosphere to their shows that attracts audiences from various musical backgrounds. They have shared the stage with renowned rock acts like Blackberry Smoke, The Kentucky Headhunters, and Ted Nugent, as well as country music legends such as Alabama and Blake Shelton. The band’s versatility has garnered them a wide fan base, evident from their performances at major events like NASCAR races and biker rallies.
Managed by industry veteran David Spero, Hillbilly Vegas is gearing up for a series of tour dates in support of their upcoming album release. With their roots deeply embedded in the rock and roll tradition, the band continues to captivate audiences with their infectious energy and genre-defying music.
