Pond announces 2026 North American tour with DJO and new album ‘Terrestrials’

POND has made a triumphant return with their latest single and video, “Terrestrials”, delving into the complexities of human nature. This new track, released after their well-received tenth album, Stung!, showcases the band’s exploration of existential themes. The song encapsulates the duality of human behavior, portraying our ability for both connection and chaos within its expansive and unsettling soundscape.

Lead singer Nicholas Allbrook characterizes “Terrestrials” as an observation of the peculiar nature of people, emphasizing the tug-of-war between our nurturing tendencies and propensity for disorder. The song, penned by Jay “Gum” Watson and produced with Julian Abbott in Mullumbimby, encapsulates this conflict in an introspective yet explosive composition.

Complementing the single is a visually arresting music video directed by Jesse Taylor Smith, enhancing the track’s ethereal and offbeat essence. Additionally, POND has unveiled plans for a North American tour alongside Djo, Joe Keery’s musical project, starting in July.
