Alicate’s Latest Album: Too Bad to Be Good
Alicate, a band formed in the late 80s by lead vocalist/guitarist Jonas Erixon and bass player Fredrik Ekberg, has a rich history of touring in Sweden and Finland. They even had the opportunity to support Ian Gillan on his “Toolbox Tour” in 1992. After a hiatus in the 90s, Alicate regrouped and released their first full-length album, “World Of Anger,” in 2009. Their fan base grew significantly after an appearance at the Sweden Rock Festival, leading to the release of their albums “Free Falling” in 2013 and “Unforgiven To Be Forgiven” in 2018.
During the pandemic, Erixon dedicated his time to writing new material for the band, resulting in the release of “Butterfly” in 2022 and their fifth album, “Heaven Tonight,” in 2024 through Pride & Joy Music. Towards the end of 2025, the band welcomed new keyboardist Marcus Zerath, injecting new energy and creativity into their lineup.
