Newly-released video shows Taylor Frankie Paul’s arrest moment as she confronts ex
In a recently uncovered video, the incident that led to Taylor Frankie Paul’s arrest by the police for domestic violence has been brought to light. The altercation, which resulted in her child getting injured, occurred after a heated argument with Dakota Mortensen. When the Herriman City Police Department arrived at the residence where the altercation took place, Taylor was apprehended and placed in handcuffs.
The 2023 incident, which was captured on camera by Dakota, showed Taylor throwing objects at him and physically assaulting him. Unfortunately, in the midst of the chaos, one of the items thrown ricocheted off Dakota and struck Taylor’s daughter, resulting in a minor head injury. Initially, what started off as a verbal disagreement quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, with Taylor later admitting that she had consumed alcohol and was struggling emotionally following personal challenges.
As a consequence of the altercation, Taylor was taken into custody and charged with a felony count of aggravated assault, two felony counts for domestic violence in the presence of a child, and misdemeanor charges of child abuse and criminal mischief. However, following a plea agreement reached in August 2023, in which she pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in abeyance for 36 months, the other charges were dropped. If she successfully completes three years of supervised probation without further legal incidents, the charge may be downgraded to a misdemeanor or nullified.
The footage of the arrest was recently released to the public after being obtained by TMZ. The video shows the police arriving at the residence shared by Taylor and Dakota, with the couple engaging in a heated exchange. Once inside, the officers promptly separated the two individuals, while Taylor, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, wandered aimlessly around the house. Taylor is seen attempting to pour herself a glass of water before collapsing and breaking down in tears.
Meanwhile, Dakota recounts his injuries to the authorities separately, with Taylor, now emotionally charged, attempting to evict him from the premises. In a separate recording captured outside the residence, Taylor is seen being detained by the arresting officers, while her child looks on. Throughout the video, Taylor can be heard expressing regret for her actions, admitting to pushing and hitting Dakota during the confrontation.
Upon learning that she was being apprehended for domestic violence, Taylor appeared visibly shocked and questioned why Dakota was not facing the same charges. As the officers escorted her to the police car to be taken to the station, Taylor awaited the arrival of her parents to care for her children.
