Cameron Whitcomb debuts new song “Kingdom Of” featuring TotalNtertainment
Cameron Whitcomb, the acclaimed singer-songwriter, is back with the release of his latest single, “Kingdom of Fear,” which is now available through Atlantic Outpost. This energetic and intense track serves as a preview of Whitcomb’s upcoming EP, Deep Water, set to be released on Friday, April 17. Fans can already pre-order or pre-save the EP to get ready for its launch.
Expressing his renewed passion for songwriting, Whitcomb compares it to reconnecting with an old flame, saying, “Seems like lately I’ve fallen back in love with songwriting. It’s like having sex with your ex. Something familiar, comfortable, but also refreshing about it. It’s been an incredible time getting to put these ideas that’ve been banging around in my head on paper.”
“Kingdom of Fear” comes after the success of Whitcomb’s previous single, “You and Me,” which was praised by Billboard for its emotional and heartfelt folk-rock sound. Collaborating once again with producer Jack Riley and songwriting partners Cal Shapiro and Nolan Sipe, the track has secured a spot as Whitcomb’s third-highest Spotify debut. It has quickly become a fan favorite, especially after recent live performances during his tour with HARDY on THE COUNTRY! COUNTRY! TOUR!. Additionally, “You and Me” made a strong debut on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.
In a world where superficiality often prevails, Whitcomb stands out as an artist unafraid to tackle difficult truths. Leaving home at just 17 to work on a pipeline, the British Columbia native stumbled upon his love for singing, setting him on a path towards a career in music. His breakthrough came in 2024 with his debut EP, Quitter, a raw and honest collection of country/folk songs inspired by his own struggles with addiction and recovery. Since then, the 22-year-old artist has seen his star rise, earning a spot on both Spotify and Amazon Music’s 2025 Artist to Watch lists, releasing his first full-length album, The Hard Way, and embarking on successful tours worldwide.
From his North American headline tour, I’ve Got Options Tour, which included a sold-out show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, to his upcoming EP release, Whitcomb continues to captivate audiences with his poignant storytelling and passionate performances. Stay tuned for more from this rising star in the music scene.
