Kid Rock caused a stir over the weekend when he posted a video on Instagram that caught the eye of the United States military. In the viral video, two U.S. Army Apache helicopters were filmed flying in close proximity to Kid Rock’s residence, sparking an investigation. The singer, standing in the backyard pool area of his Nashville home, can be seen in the video as one of the helicopters descends to a dangerously low level, almost eye-level. In response to the helicopter, Kid Rock is shown applauding and saluting the aircraft while positioned next to a replica of the Statue of Liberty. His caption for the post reads, “This is a level of respect that sh*t for brains Governor of California will never know. God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”

The video quickly gained traction, amassing over 5.5 million views and catching the attention of the U.S. military. Following public outcry and scrutiny, an administrative review was launched to investigate why the two U.S. Army helicopters were flying in such close proximity to Kid Rock’s home. A statement from a U.S. Army spokesperson confirmed that the Army was aware of the online video and that an assessment was underway to ensure compliance with safety regulations and airspace requirements.

Maj. Montrell Russell emphasized the importance of maintaining strict safety standards, professionalism, and established flight regulations for Army aviators. Any violations found during the investigation would result in appropriate action being taken. Additionally, a spokesperson from the 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Ky., confirmed that the helicopters were actually following training routes in the Nashville area. Despite adhering to the designated routes, Maj. Jonathon Bless reiterated the military’s commitment to aviation safety and vowed to thoroughly review the circumstances surrounding the incident.

While the U.S. Army and military officials delved into the investigation, Kid Rock’s representatives remained silent on the matter, refraining from commenting on the circumstances surrounding the viral video or the subsequent military scrutiny. Known for his vocal support of the Donald Trump administration and presidency, Kid Rock has recently hosted the All-American Halftime Show, an event organized by Turning Point USA as an alternative to the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show.

The incident involving Kid Rock’s viral helicopter video serves as a reminder of the complexities surrounding public figures and military involvement. As the investigation unfolds, the U.S. Army remains committed to upholding safety standards and aviation regulations to ensure the well-being of both military personnel and the surrounding community.
