New video for Brave Anime reveals additional cast members and new theme songs

The staff behind the television adaptation of the manga “Scum of the Brave” unveiled a new promotional video and visual recently, showcasing more cast members and theme songs for the second cours of the anime. Scheduled to begin on April 11, the new additions to the cast include Tomokazu Sugita as Father Ayashima, the ever-smiling Hero who manages the Hero Hot Springs, and Ayumu Murase as Lord Hazeru Seito, one of the three Demon Lords overseeing Hokkaido.

The anime features ClariS performing the opening theme song “Revive” and the rock band w.o.d. delivering the ending theme song “Non-Fiction.” “Scum of the Brave” manga is available digitally in English through Manga Planet, offering an engaging storyline set in an alternate 21st century. The narrative follows Yashiro, a carefree man drawn into a dangerous world of bounty hunting for demon mafia members called “Demon Kings.”

The main characters of the anime include Ryōta Suzuki as Shinigami Yashiro, Akari Kitō as Aki Jogamine, Momo Harumi as Yukine Indō, Yumiri Hanamori as Sara Kashiwagi Pendragon, Hinata Tadokoro as Salt Joe, Daisuke Hirakawa as Ongakuya Ishinō, Yasuhiro Takato as Moguri no Maruta, Yūichirō Umehara as Lord “Wedge of Both Hands,” and Katsuyuki Konishi as Arthur Pendragon.

Directed by Shinji Ushiro and written by Yoichi Kato, the series boasts a talented team of artists and composers, including Rika Murakami for character design and Kenichiro Suehiro for music composition. The anime premiered on NTV to a late-night audience on January 10 and continues to air on various platforms such as dAnime, Hulu, and AT-X. With Crunchyroll also streaming the anime as it airs, fans can enjoy the action-packed story without interruption.

The original manga, launched in 2018, continues to captivate readers on LEED Publishing’s Comic Border platform, with the eighth volume released in December. Created by Rocket Shokai, the series first made its debut on the Kakuyomu website in 2016, receiving praise for its engaging storyline and compelling characters.
