Guns N’ Roses play ‘Bad Apples’ in São Paulo after 35 years
Guns N’ Roses recently delighted their fans with a rare performance of “Bad Apples” during their tour in South America. The rock legends played this deep cut from Use Your Illusion I live for the first time in 35 years at the Monsters of Rock festival in São Paulo. This was only the second time the band has ever performed the song live, with its previous outing dating back to Rock in Rio in 1991.
The São Paulo concert also featured other surprises for die-hard fans, such as the rarely heard “Dead Horse” and the classic “Rocket Queen” from Appetite for Destruction. This performance marked the beginning of the band’s 2026 world tour, which kicked off in Mexico with the debut of two new songs, “Atlas” and “Nothin’,” the first fresh material from Guns N’ Roses since 2023.
Slash, the band’s iconic guitarist, shared exciting news about their upcoming releases, hinting that they might bundle their recent standalone singles into a collection before focusing on a new original studio album. This album would be their first full-length effort since 2008’s Chinese Democracy. Slash expressed his enthusiasm for the new material and promised that it would be a “proper album” with entirely fresh and original tracks.
The band is continuing their tour across Brazil, with their next stop scheduled for April 7 in São José do Rio Preto before heading to Florida in late April. The São Paulo show was just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting tour filled with surprises and the much-anticipated performance of rare tracks like “Bad Apples.” Fans can expect a blend of classic hits and fresh new music as Guns N’ Roses embark on this journey bridging their legendary past with their innovative present.
