Guns N’ Roses play ‘Bad Apples’ live for first time in 30 years
Guns N’ Roses shocked fans at their Sao Paolo, Brazil concert by performing “Bad Apples” live for the first time since 1991. This track from their Use Your Illusion I album had only been played twice before in the band’s history. The live debut of “Bad Apples” originally took place at Brazil’s Rock in Rio festival. Slash has also previously performed this song with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.
At the Monsters of Rock Brazil festival, Guns N’ Roses treated fans to a setlist that included other surprises as well. The rarely heard “Dead Horse” made a reappearance, along with “Rocket Queen,” adding a fresh spin to their performance. The Mexico tour opener also introduced live renditions of “Atlas” and “Nothin’” to audiences, both of which were well received and remain in the setlist for future shows.
Fans speculate that Guns N’ Roses may have more surprises in store for their 2026 world tour. Reports suggest that the band soundchecked “Right Next Door to Hell,” another track from Use Your Illusion I that has not been performed live since 1991, before their April 1 concert. After their Sao Paolo show, Guns N’ Roses are set to return to the United States for performances at Florida’s Hard Rock Festival and Daytona Beach’s Welcome to Rockville. Following this, they will embark on a European leg of the tour and kick off North American dates starting on July 23 in Raleigh, North Carolina, with the tour scheduled to conclude in Atlanta on September 9.
Guns N’ Roses’ commitment to surprising their fans with unique and deep-cut tracks highlights their dedication to their artistry and their desire to keep their performances fresh and exciting. With each show bringing the potential for something unexpected, fans eagerly anticipate what other surprises Guns N’ Roses have in store for the rest of their 2026 tour.
