Otoboke Beaver reveals latest maxi single, “Is The New Album Out Yet?”
The mini single, comprising three songs titled “Is The New Album Out Yet?”, “Hey, Where’s the Thank You?”, and “Is The New Album Out Yet?” will be released digitally on 10 April and 15 April, respectively. A physical 4” version will be available on 10 June. This release follows their 2022 album Super Champon. The first track from the mini single comes with a video directed by Haruko Tajima.
The songs were recorded at LM Studio by engineer Ippei Suda. These recordings mark the final appearance of drummer Kahokiss, who had taken maternity leave after their performance at last year’s Fuji Rock Festival before announcing her retirement from the band. The band will move forward with Leo (Emi) as the new drummer, joining vocalist Accorinrin, guitarist Yoyoyoshie, and bassist Hirochan. Their upcoming plans include supporting Foo Fighters on their European tour this summer and headlining a show at London’s Electric Ballroom on 21 June.
