Shinedown, a multi-platinum rock band, scheduled to perform at Nebraska State Fair
Multi-platinum rock band Shinedown is all set to electrify fans at the Nebraska State Fair, headlining a night of rock music on Saturday, September 5 at TD Landing. As part of the Nebraska Lottery Concert Series during the 2026 Nebraska State Fair, the concert will also showcase opening act Dexter and the Moonrocks.
According to Karli Bartz, the Events and Entertainment Director, the decision to bring Shinedown to the fair was heavily influenced by the enthusiastic requests from rock fans for a grander show. Bartz expressed her excitement about finally being able to fulfill the desires of attendees by bringing Shinedown to the heart of Nebraska.
Shinedown has established itself as a dominant force in contemporary rock music with an impressive track record. The band has garnered over 8.3 billion global streams, sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, and secured a remarkable 24 No. 1 rock hits across all charts throughout their illustrious career.
Acknowledged as the No. 1 artist on Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Mainstream Rock Artists chart, Shinedown has set a milestone by achieving the most No. 1 singles in the history of the Mainstream Rock Songs chart, totaling 22. Medibase has also recognized Shinedown as the leading rock band in Active Rock chart history for their numerous No. 1’s, Top 5’s, and Top 10’s.
With their eighth studio album, EI8HT, scheduled for release on May 29, Shinedown is gearing up for the launch of their latest anthem “Safe and Sound,” in addition to earlier singles like “Searchlight,” “Dance, Kid, Dance,” “Three Six Five,” and “Killing Fields.” Their 2025 hit song “A Symptom of Being Human” from the band’s seventh studio album Planet Zero has gained close to 125 million global streams and achieved top chart positions across five different radio formats.
