New video suggests the beginning of Ontario warehouse fire, possibly revealing motive

Authorities are currently investigating a video that has surfaced on social media as part of their inquiries into a significant warehouse fire that erupted in Ontario early Tuesday. Arson specialists believe that the video displays boxes of toilet paper being ignited inside the warehouse while an individual unceasingly expresses dissatisfaction with their wages.

The person in the video is heard stating, “If you’re not going to pay us enough to (expletive) live or afford to live, at least pay us enough not to do this.” Following the discovery of the video, law enforcement officials took into custody a 29-year-old individual named Chamel Abdul-Karim under suspicion of committing felony arson.

Reportedly, Abdul-Karim was employed at the Kimberly-Clark Distribution Center through a third-party company at the time of the fire. While authorities are currently scrutinizing the video, they have not officially confirmed if the individual in the footage is indeed Abdul-Karim.

A colleague of the suspect mentioned to the press that he had just met Abdul-Karim shortly before the outbreak of the fire and initially, there were no suspicions regarding his involvement. “There was no suspicion that it was him, actually he was missing. So everyone was trying to find him. Everyone was blaming the robots at first. We were almost 100% sure it was the robots until the action in the video of course,” said Alex Montero from San Bernardino.

The investigation into the warehouse fire and the possible involvement of Chamel Abdul-Karim continues, with authorities utilizing all available information, including the video circulating on social media platforms.
