Coachella surprised by Huntr/x joining Katseye to perform ‘Golden’
Crowds at Coachella were treated to a special surprise when Katseye’s performance was joined by the talents behind Huntr/x. The trio consisting of Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami made an unexpected appearance at the Sahara stage to perform the hit song “Golden”.
Fresh off their recent Oscar win for Best Original Song, the stars of “KPop Demon Hunters” delighted the audience with their unexpected collaboration. Katseye, comprised of Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung, opened the festival’s first night with an electrifying set. In addition to “Golden,” they performed fan-favorite tracks like “Internet Girl,” “Pinky Up,” and “Mean Girls”.
Katseye, rose to fame after their start as K-pop trainees on the reality TV show, “Dream Academy” back in 2023. Their single “Gabriela” earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance earlier this year.
With the release of two EPs, “SIS (Soft Is Strong)” in 2024 and “Beautiful Chaos” in the following year, Katseye’s music has resonated with audiences worldwide.
