Advent Horizon debuts single “Faith’s Window” from upcoming album Falling Together
US-based band Advent Horizon has announced the upcoming release of their new studio album “Falling Together,” slated to be available on May 15th, 2026. Following their well-received 2023 album, “A Cell to Call Home,” the band’s latest work delves into the introspective exploration of personal beliefs. The album is an invitation to examine the origins of one’s convictions – whether they are genuinely one’s own or products of external influences during formative years.
The band recently unveiled the second single from the album, titled “Faith’s Window.” Vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Rylee McDonald describes the track as a personal favorite. He commends the seamless and swift composition process, noting that the chorus stands out as one of the catchiest he has written. McDonald reflects on the innovative fusion of the classic “Advent Horizon sound” with a contemporary, heavier aesthetic. While initially reluctant to incorporate screaming into their music, he recognized the song’s need for intensity, which led to the inclusion of vocal screams to enhance its dynamic range. McDonald also highlights the impactful collaboration with Kristen in delivering a mesmerizing vocal performance on the track.
The groundwork for “Falling Together” was laid during the recording sessions of “A Cell To Call Home”, where the sheer size and complexity of certain compositions prompted the band to set aside songs that did not quite fit the previous album’s narrative. Over the following year, the group refined and expanded upon these songs, aiming to distill their unique identity into a more robust and representative musical statement.
The album’s writing process unfolded over two distinct periods, with material spanning from 2018 to 2021 contrasted by compositions from the summer of 2024. During this later phase, McDonald and drummer Mike Lofgreen found inspiration in the serene environs of a remote mountain lake in northern Utah, shaping newer tracks that would contribute to “Falling Together.”
Recording sessions at Cold House Studios in Provo, Utah, took place between January and May 2025, where the band collaborated with engineer and mixer Zach Boorman. The album’s production was polished under the mastery of Jens Bogren and visually accentuated by artwork from Travis Smith, aligning the project’s sound and aesthetic cohesively.
Amidst its forthcoming release on May 15th, 2026, “Falling Together” is available for pre-order. The album is set to incorporate seven tracks, including the introspective “Past Life Parable” and ambitious pieces like “In A Lone And Dreary World” that mirror the essence of Advent Horizon’s sound evolution.
Comprising members Rylee McDonald, Mike Lofgreen, Cason Wood, and Grant Matheson, Advent Horizon continues to push boundaries and define their sonic identity through thought-provoking lyrics and innovative musical compositions, making “Falling Together” a highly anticipated addition to the progressive rock genre.
