The list of the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees has been revealed, with eight performers making the prestigious class. Among the honorees are iconic musicians such as Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan.

Phil Collins, known for his work with Genesis, is now being recognized for his solo career. Meanwhile, Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan secured their spots in the Hall of Fame on their first attempt. In contrast, other artists like Oasis, Iron Maiden, and Joy Division/New Order had to make multiple attempts before gaining induction. Sade and Idol made it on their second try.

With seventeen nominees up for consideration this year, it marked the largest pool to date. Unfortunately, artists such as the Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Mariah Carey, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, INXS, New Edition, Pink, and Shakira did not receive the honor.

In addition to the performers, ten individuals were recognized in different categories. The Early Influences category included Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, and Gram Parsons. The Musical Excellence Award was bestowed upon Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller, and Rick Rubin. The Ahmet Ertegun Award was given to Ed Sullivan.

The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 14 in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on ABC and Disney+ in December. Fans of these legendary musicians can look forward to celebrating their contributions to the music industry.
