Kacey Musgraves to Perform at Coachella Weekend Two
Kacey Musgraves has surprised fans by joining the lineup for the second weekend of Coachella, marking her first appearance at the festival since 2019.
The country music sensation was quietly added to the weekend two schedule, with her performance set for 3-3:50 p.m. on Saturday at the Mojave Tent, where Jack White took the stage during the festival’s first weekend. White’s performance was revealed in a similar fashion, starting the day off with a lively rock show.
During her 2019 Coachella performance, Musgraves delivered a memorable moment when she led the crowd in a comical call-and-response of “yee” and “haw,” playfully scolding the audience when they responded without a cue. That year, she performed on the main stage between Mon Laferte and Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals.
Recently, Musgraves announced her upcoming sixth album, “Middle of Nowhere,” set to be released on May 1. The first single from the album, “Dry Spell,” along with its music video, dropped last month. The album will feature collaborations with artists like Miranda Lambert, Willie Nelson, Billy Strings, and Gregory Alan Isakov.
Since her Grammy-winning album “Golden Hour” in 2018, Musgraves’ music has transitioned towards a folk-pop sound, while still embracing her country roots. “Middle of Nowhere” is expected to delve deeper into those country influences, described as “genre-less” in the official album synopsis.
Fans can catch Kacey Musgraves’ live performance at Coachella weekend two, where she will bring her signature blend of country and folk-pop to the desert set on expanding her musical horizons. Don’t miss the chance to experience her unique sound and captivating stage presence at this year’s festival.
