Band Ceremony releases their first new song in 5 years, “Other Hells”
California’s Ceremony has been a significant force in the punk rock underground for over twenty years. Their sound has evolved over time, transitioning from the intense powerviolence of their early days to the post-punk stylings found on their latest album, In The Spirit World Now. It has been approximately four years since Ceremony’s last release, a two-song single called “Vanity Spawned By Fear” b/w “California Poppy.” During this time, the band has kept busy with various projects. Frontman Ross Farrar, for instance, has been involved in creating outstanding albums with his side project Spice and his solo venture RJF. In a notable event, two years ago, Ceremony headlined at the Hollywood Palladium, performing their 2010 classic Rohnert Park in its entirety. Additionally, they recently dropped a live album capturing this iconic show. Recent performances at Coachella have also kept Ceremony in the spotlight.
