Riley Green debuts new song ‘My Way’ while making acting debut on CBS show ‘Marshals’
Riley Green has recently ventured into the world of acting, making his debut on CBS’s Western drama Marshals. Not only is Green trying his hand at acting, but he is also bringing new music to the show with his self-penned track “My Way.” This song, produced by Dann Huff, will be featured in the series and performed by Green on screen during the upcoming April 26 episode.
Before its debut on Marshals, Green gave audiences a taste of “My Way” during his performances in Australia. Touring in Sydney and Melbourne as well as making an appearance at the CMC Rocks festival, Green left fans excited for his new music. The storyline of Marshals featuring Green revolves around his character, Garrett, a former Navy SEAL and a past colleague of Kayce Dutton and Pete Calvin. As Garrett seeks closure from his past, he turns to old friends for support upon arriving in Montana.
Marshals tells the story of Luke Grimes as he reprises his role as Kayce Dutton, who trades in the Yellowstone Ranch for a role with a specialized unit of U.S. Marshals. Combining his cowboy and Navy SEAL backgrounds, Kayce tackles crime in Montana while also dealing with the emotional burden of the job and his obligations at home. The team he joins includes Pete Calvin, played by Logan Marshall-Green, as well as Belle Skinner, portrayed by Arielle Kebbel, Andrea Cruz, played by Ash Santos, and Miles Kittle, portrayed by Tatanka Means. Central to Kayce’s story are his son Tate, played by Brecken Merrill, and his loyal allies Mo and Thomas Rainwater, played by Mo Brings Plenty and Gil Birmingham, respectively.
The show’s narrative follows Kayce’s transition from the Yellowstone Ranch to the U.S. Marshals and how he employs his cowboy and military skills to combat crime in Montana while balancing family responsibilities and the mental strain of law enforcement. Since its premiere, the show has garnered considerable attention, attracting more than 20 million viewers across various platforms.
Outside of his acting venture, Green is currently on tour with his Cowboy As It Gets Tour, which kicked off with sold-out shows in Australia. The tour spans across the United States throughout the summer, featuring highlights such as a sold-out headlining performance at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and an upcoming appearance at the Stagecoach Festival.
