Wage War to Tour Australia in 2026 with Orthodox and Heavensgate
Wage War is set to make a triumphant return to Australia, marking their presence with an extensive tour scheduled for July and August of this year. The heavyweights hailing from Florida have dubbed this tour ‘It Calls Me By Name,’ which is part of their larger world tour. Joining them on this epic journey are fellow American bands Orthodox and Melbourne’s very own Heavensgate.
The tour, which is presented by Destroy All Lines, will kick off at Perth’s Freo Social on July 30th. From there, Wage War will make their way to Adelaide, Melbourne, and Brisbane before concluding the tour at Sydney’s prestigious Metro Theatre on August 7th.
Fresh off the release of their new EP, It Calls Me By Name, Wage War are armed with brand new material that is sure to captivate audiences. Their live performances have solidified their reputation as one of modern metalcore’s most reliable and powerful acts. Since their debut album, Blueprints, in 2015, Wage War has been known for their punishing breakdowns, massive choruses, and poignant lyrics that set them apart from the rest of the metalcore scene.
Their 2024 album, Stigma, pushed the band’s evolution even further, with the single “MAGNETIC” topping Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Having shared stages with heavy hitters like Slipknot, A Day To Remember, and Parkway Drive, Wage War has proven their mettle time and time again. Festival appearances at Louder Than Life, Sick New World, and Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival have only added to their live performance prowess.
Joining Wage War on this tour is Orthodox, a band hailing from Nashville that seamlessly blends elements of hardcore, nu-metal, and chaotic metal. With the release of their fifth album, A Door Left Open, in 2025, Orthodox has proven themselves to be a force to be reckoned with in the heavy music scene. Australian audiences got a taste of their intensity earlier this year when they supported Stray From The Path.
Opening the shows each night will be Heavensgate, a rising star in the Melbourne music scene. Despite emerging during the pandemic, Heavensgate has quickly gained momentum through their relentless touring and acclaimed EPs like AND ALL I LOVED, I LOVED ALONE and A HEART IS A HEAVY BURDEN. After touring overseas with bands like The Amity Affliction and August Burns Red, Heavensgate is ready to bring their energy to Wage War’s Australian tour.
