GWAR announces upcoming limited edition 7″ vinyl
Shock rock legends GWAR have made an explosive return to the music scene, thrilling their devoted fan base with the announcement of a limited edition 7-inch vinyl release. This exciting release features their unique interpretations of Chappell Roan’s ‘Pink Pony Club’ and Ryan Gosling’s ‘I’m Just Ken,’ transformed into ‘We’re Just GWAR.’ These two infectious tracks have collectively garnered an impressive 2.5 million views on YouTube in collaboration with the A.V. Club.
Available now for pre-order on GWAR.net, the Limited Edition Pink 7-inch vinyl is set to hit shelves on June 26th. Fans can also look forward to a variety of exclusive merchandise offerings, including the Limited Edition Pink Cuttlefish of Chutulu, a Pink 7-inch test pressing plaque, and a Pink Pony Club shirt.
In light of their upcoming release, GWAR is rallying their followers to participate in a blood drive initiative. Longtime member and GWAR co-founder, Chuck Varga, known as The Sexecutioner, is currently facing cancer. GWAR is urging their loyal “bohabs” to either register as blood donors or simply donate blood in Chuck’s honor. As a token of appreciation, fans who donate will receive an exclusive shirt designed by Chuck himself at cost.
Encouraged by the overwhelming response from donors, GWAR expressed their gratitude, stating, “We are astonished. Against all laws of nature and basic biology, you worthless, soft-skinned humans managed to do something right… Continue donating so that the rivers may flow and GWAR may endure.”
In addition to their new music release and blood drive initiative, GWAR is gearing up for their “Gor Gor Must Die! Tour” scheduled for October 2026. This highly anticipated tour will showcase GWAR’s signature blend of heavy metal, horror, and comedy to audiences across the United States and Canada. Accompanied by black ‘n’ roll powerhouse Midnight as direct support, the tour will also feature fast-food parody metal band Mac Sabbath and special appearances by X-COPS and Atomic Rule at select shows.
