e. “This record provided me with one of the most delightful and creative experiences of my life and introduced me to the wonderful friendship of @sherylcrow. I am deeply grateful for all it has given me.”
Nicks also shared a clip of the video for “Sorcerer,” a track from the album featuring Crow. In addition to this collaboration, Crow co-produced multiple songs on the album and wrote the song “It’s Only Love.”
Debuting at #5 on the Billboard 200, Trouble in Shangri-La marked Nicks’ highest-charting album since her second solo record, The Wild Heart, back in 1983. The album spent a total of 20 weeks on the chart and achieved a Gold certification from the RIAA.
While Nicks has not released a solo album since 2014’s 24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault, she hinted at working on new music during her 2025 induction into the Pollstar Live! Hall of Fame. However, there is no official word on the release date for this upcoming album.
Overall, Trouble in Shangri-La holds a special place in Nicks’ heart as it not only allowed her to explore her creativity but also brought about lasting friendships and connections in the music industry. The album’s 25th anniversary serves as a reminder of the impact it had on Nicks’ career and personal life alike.
