Gin Wigmore announces her first album in eight years, declaring courage is undervalued

According to reports, the latest album by Wigmore captures the essence of life’s ups and downs in a unique way, blending elements of country and Americana with raw rock energy. The entire recording process took place over one week at a secluded studio in the Palm Springs desert, with the artist collaborating closely with Dave Goodison and Steven Padin, long-time partners in her musical journey. Describing the lyrical content of the album, Wigmore mentioned that it reflects experiences related to love, loss, divorce, and motherhood, all inspired by events from the past decade of her life. The album is carefully divided into two distinct sides to highlight the contrasting themes. Side A, defined as ‘Beautiful’, features softer, country-inspired melodies that pay homage to icons like Lucinda Williams, Loretta Lynn, and Tammy Wynette. On the other hand, Side B, also known as ‘Mess’, shifts towards more energetic and raucous rock tracks.
