This latest track, “Oh Savannah,” follows the band’s previous releases, “Slowly” and “Pardon Me,” signaling a new chapter for 49 Winchester marked by emotional vulnerability, musical intricacy, and bold exploration. Their rendition of Black Sabbath’s “Changes” was the first release under the Lucille Records / MCA label, in collaboration with New West Records for upcoming releases under the MCA brand.

Originating from Virginia, 49 Winchester seamlessly blends Southern rock and country with a sincere, unfiltered storytelling style. Garnering praise for their dynamic live performances, the band has swiftly built a solid reputation and a loyal fan base. Spearheaded by lead singer-songwriter Isaac Gibson, accompanied by Bus Shelton on lead guitar, Chase Chafin on bass, Noah Patrick on pedal steel, Tim Hall on keys, and Justin Louthian on drums, 49 Winchester continues to infuse each song they produce with the heart, humor, and profound wisdom of the Appalachian region.

In 2026, the band embarked on a headline tour across the United States, with plans to support leading artists like Eric Church and Tim McGraw. The group’s full schedule includes a performance at the Grand Ole Opry and The Blue Room in Nashville soon to celebrate the release of “Change of Plans”. Additionally, 49 Winchester will make a special appearance at Grimey’s in East Nashville on May 11 for an in-store performance and album signing.

49 Winchester has steadily risen as a standout act in the contemporary country music scene, progressing from their modest beginnings in Castlewood, Virginia, to selling out venues and amassing a dedicated global following. Founded by childhood friends Isaac Gibson and Chase Chafin, the band has devoted years honing a sound grounded in Appalachian narratives, fusing elements of country, rock, and folk into a distinct sound that is uniquely theirs. Their dedication to authenticity and tireless work ethic propelled them from casual jam sessions to prominent stages worldwide, establishing them as a group deserving of recognition earned through perseverance and determination.

Their latest album, “Change of Plans,” represents a pivotal moment in their musical journey. Produced in just eight days by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb, the album captures the band at their creative zenith, displaying a blend of confidence, maturity, and a willingness to push their musical boundaries beyond prior limits. The collection of songs reflects personal growth and artistic progress, intertwining themes of transformation, wisdom, and tenacity. From high-energy tracks that blur genre lines to introspective reflections on life, “Change of Plans” showcases a band fully embracing their moment while honoring the roots that define their identity.

Reflecting on their journey, frontman Isaac Gibson expressed, “We started this thing from the smallest seed possible… and by staying true to that same mindset, it finally feels like now is our time to come up.” This belief in authenticity and dedication to their craft has shaped the evolution of 49 Winchester, positioning them on the cusp of a well-deserved breakthrough.
