‘Eight more acts announced for the 2026 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival’
The ‘2026 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival’ revealed its second lineup on the 14th, showcasing headliners Massive Attack and Pixies, along with HYUKOH, Sultan Of The Disco, Band Nah, Dabda, LEENALCHI, and SIMILE LAND for a total of eight acts. This year marks the 21st edition of the festival, organized by Incheon Metropolitan City. The diverse selection of artists from various genres, both local and international, is heightening anticipation among music enthusiasts.
Massive Attack, the acclaimed band from Bristol, UK, joins the second lineup bringing their pioneering ‘Trip-hop’ style to the festival stage. With groundbreaking tracks like ‘Unfinished Sympathy’ and ‘Teardrop,’ Massive Attack has left an indelible mark on modern popular music, influencing artists such as Radiohead, Portishead, and The xx. Their experimental fusion of electronic, hip-hop, dub, soul, and rock elements promises to deliver a captivating and immersive experience at Pentaport.
Another heavyweight in the lineup is the American indie rock icons Pixies, embarking on their 40th-anniversary world tour. Originating from Boston in 1986, Pixies are known for their ‘Loud-Quiet-Loud’ structure and have been a major influence on bands like Nirvana and Radiohead. Tracks such as ‘Where Is My Mind?’ and ‘Here Comes Your Man’ have solidified their place in rock music history, and their performance at Pentaport is eagerly anticipated.
Homegrown favorites HYUKOH return to Pentaport after a successful appearance last year, promising an even more refined and emotionally charged performance. Sultan Of The Disco, the renowned ‘king of disco,’ is also making a comeback to the festival stage, ready to get the crowd grooving with their infectious disco-funk tunes. Additionally, Band Nah and Dabda bring their unique sounds to the lineup, adding diversity to the musical offerings.
LEENALCHI, known for blending traditional Korean music with modern band sensibilities, will showcase their electrifying performances at Pentaport. Signed to the label of music legend David Byrne, ‘Luaka Bop,’ they are gearing up for a world tour, solidifying their status as global artists. SIMILE LAND, named a Penta Super Rookie last year, rounds up the lineup, adding a variety of genres and moods to the mix.
With a total of 36 teams confirmed for the festival, including artists like Khruangbin, Silica Gel, and The Volunteers from the first lineup, Pentaport promises a diverse and exhilarating musical experience. Early-bird tickets for the festival sold out quickly, indicating a high demand for this year’s edition. One-day early-bird tickets will be available for purchase on May 14, offering discounts for KB Kookmin Card holders.
