Ventura County Fair starts unveiling lineup of grandstand performances

The Ventura County Fair recently unveiled its first grandstand act for the upcoming event, which will feature the Billboard chart-topping reggae-rock band, Iration, hailing from the Santa Barbara region. Taking place on July 31, the performance reception was announced on May 15, marking the beginning of the daily reveal of grandstand acts, scheduled to commence on May 18. The fair itself is scheduled to run from July 29 to August 9 at the Ventura beachside fairgrounds.

Iration is a band comprised of musicians from Hawaii, originating more than two decades ago in the Isla Vista community. Known for their laid-back island vibes and hits like “Time Bomb,” “Falling,” and “Stay the Course,” the band has achieved significant success with their first four albums reaching the top of Billboard’s reggae albums chart. Their most recent album, “Where It All Began,” debuted at No. 8 on the charts.

Scheduled for July 31, the grandstand show featuring Iration will kick off at 7:30 p.m., with gates opening at 5 p.m. for a pre-party. Admission to the fair includes access to the grandstand acts, while individuals can opt to purchase VIP tickets for an enhanced experience, including closer seating to the stage and other amenities. VIP tickets will be available for purchase online starting on May 27 and are priced at $39.

Fair organizers also announced that the fair will host a rodeo on the last three days of the event, with shows scheduled at 7 p.m. on August 7, as well as 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on August 8 and 9. Rodeo tickets can be purchased for $10 for individuals aged 13 and older and $8 for children between the ages of 3 and 12, with complimentary admission for children under the age of 3. Rodeo tickets go on sale starting May 27.

For those looking to attend the fair itself, pre-sale tickets are available until May 25 at a discounted rate of $13 for adults, $8 for seniors aged 65 and older, and $8 for children between the ages of 6 and 12, while children under the age of 5 receive free admission. The fairgrounds have implemented a clear bag policy that restricts the entry of certain bags, purses, and backpacks into the fairgrounds.
